Direct or indirect communication

In this essay Deborah Tannen explain how men are more direct than women. She says that sometimes indirect communication is more effective in reference to business matters, and is because is more careful and polite. In my opinion direct and indirect communication depends on the personality of the individual, not on the sex. I like direct communication, because I think that a person with this characteristic is more secure in every aspect of the life, also is not afraid to speak out his/her mind. I also think that to be a direct person does not mean to be rude is just that some people are sensitive, and take things in a different way.
